The project is located in the town of Shangyou, Jiangxi Province, on the north bank of the Shangyou River in the eastern urban area. This site enjoys a prime geographical position at the confluence of three waterways, making it a key scenic viewpoint along the river. As a core area of the urban waterfront landscape, the site boasts significant views of the river’s turning points and tributary convergence. Therefore, we adopted the design approach of “building along the river, integrating with the water,” utilizing the terrain to naturally connect the functional spaces along the southern riverside while aligning with the urban road network to the north, creating a modern urban cultural lounge.
